I feel quite awful this morning. I didn’t sleep much last night. I’m going to tough it out and not for take some meds for side effects of chemo. I felt better (comparatively) yesterday than the first 2 rounds. But last night and this morning the neulasta drug kicked in (the drug to make the bone marrow work overtime). The summer feels very long and a waste of time. The days are getting shorter, noticeably. Summer is almost over. It’s time to plant the garden for the winter. I don’t know how I’m going to get to that. Frank is still hauling in harvest from the garden and orchard: Loads of tomatoes, watermelons, cantaloupes, apples, and some pears. The garden is exhausting itself. …Time to yank everything out and replant salad greens and winter foods.
